Rob couldn’t and wouldn’t accept these limitations. While his body may have imposed serious physical limitations, his imagination still wandered free. He decided to find a way to once again walk on the beach and in the woods. This is his story.

Interview with Isobel Mackenzie, the Seniors Advocate of BC

In our interview with Isobel Mackenzie, we discuss what the Office of the Seniors Advocate does, how it formed and some of the systemic issues it is researching and reporting to the BC government.

Our conversation ranged over topics that are important to seniors including disproportionate subsidies for seniors on GIS vs those who are not, the overuse of assisted living resources as a result, senior loneliness and how government can play to help ameliorate it, and transportation as one of the top challenges for seniors' independence.
